ITEM: 40's Crepe Dress

DESCRIPTION: Heavy black moss crepe (almost a brocade, possibly matelasse) dress. Photos lightened to show detail. Interesting slit details around collar, beautifully fitted bust, subtle flared skirt & voluminous sleeves. Belt hoops but original belt is long gone. Rare example of a wartime "Posh Utility" (also known as "Double Elevens" and "Dinner Plates" label) label dress in amazing condition. "Lightning" metal side zipper.
